Chiropractor
Sam Messimer D.C.
Dr. Sam Messimer completed his undergraduate studies at Milligan University and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. In 1991, Dr. Sam (as he is known to most of his patients) opened an office for his uncle Dr. James Messimer, and in 1995 he established Oakland Chiropractic at its present location.

Leah S. West L.M.T.
Leah has been involved in Chiropractic for 20 plus years. She worked the front desk, as a therapy and rehab assistant. She has also been the office manager and is in charge of billing.

Jennifer Burleson
Jennifer Burleson, our office manager of 9 years, has been with Balanced Medical Center since the summer of 2015. She completed her CTA training in December that year and has been an advocate for Chiropractic and natural health care since!
Family Nurse Practitioner
Lindsey Smith F.N.P.
Lindsey Smith is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and registered nurse. She holds a master's degree in nursing from Walden University which she received in 2014. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in 2009.
